About Blazor Power Tools
A professional component library built for .NET developers who ship real applications.
What is Blazor Power Tools?
Blazor Power Tools (BPT) is a comprehensive component library for Blazor applications targeting .NET 10. It provides 35+ production-ready components spanning form controls, AI/audio processing, image manipulation, and developer tools — everything you need to build modern, interactive web applications without leaving C#.
BPT is designed for developers who want to ship fast without sacrificing quality. Every component is built with theming, accessibility, keyboard navigation, and cross-rendering-mode compatibility in mind.
Our Story
BlazorPowerTools was founded in 2026 by Rune Solberg, a Norwegian software engineer who wrote his first HTML and JavaScript for the web back in 1994. Exactly 32 years later, that same drive to build for the web led to BlazorPowerTools — a component library born from decades of hands-on experience with how web technology evolves and what developers actually need in production.
The idea started in 2025 as a proof of concept: could a focused, opinionated component library truly unleash the power of Blazor? Rune had watched existing libraries cover the basics well enough, but consistently fall short on the harder problems — GPU-accelerated image processing, real-time audio transcription, embedded terminals, server monitoring. The proof of concept became a business when it was clear the answer was yes.
BlazorPowerTools is a Norwegian software company, built with the future in mind. Every license includes Claude AI skillsets for each component — structured knowledge files that give AI coding assistants deep understanding of the full BPT API surface. The future of agentic AI will reshape how developers work, but user requirements are not getting simpler — they are getting more demanding. BlazorPowerTools aims to reduce the CPU and GPU cycles you spend building basic blocks of code, whether through your own developers or AI agents, getting your team up to speed much faster.
The library itself is built through a combination of manual software engineering and Claude AI — Opus 4.6. It runs on a professional CI/CD pipeline with automated testing, documentation generation, and cross-platform builds. Every release is compiled and verified on both Windows and Linux, ensuring the components work reliably regardless of the developer's platform or deployment target.
What Sets BPT Apart
Beyond Standard UI
While other libraries stop at form controls, BPT includes AI-powered speech recognition, GPU-accelerated image effects, in-browser SSH terminals, and real-time server monitoring. One package covers a wide range of needs.
WebGL & Client-Side Processing
Image analysis and animation effects run directly in the browser using WebGL shaders with Canvas 2D fallback. No server round-trips for visual processing — instant feedback, no bandwidth cost.
Pluggable AI Backends
Speech-to-text supports multiple engines: run Whisper locally for privacy, use Azure Speech Services for enterprise scale, or connect to OpenAI for convenience. Switch backends without changing component code.
Full Rendering Compatibility
Every component works with Interactive Server, WebAssembly, and hybrid Auto rendering. BPT detects the rendering mode automatically and adapts its JavaScript interop strategy accordingly.
